Dr. Jay P. Patel is the Quantum Radiology Breast Imaging Section Head. He is also the ACR Lead Interpreting Physician (LIP) for Kennestone Outpatient Women’s Pavilion and Cobb Hospital Women’s Center. Dr. Patel obtained his medical degree from the University of Miami – Miller School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Emory University. Dr. Patel has fellowship training in musculoskeletal radiology and breast imaging. He completed his fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, and his fellowship in breast imaging at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.
Dr. Patel has clinical interests in high-risk breast program development, abbreviated screening breast MRI, ACR MQSA, and artificial intelligence. He is a member of multiple professional societies, including Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, Georgia Society of Radiology, and the Society of Breast Imaging.
