Dr. Gordon received his Medical Degree at the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed his Radiology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He received additional fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine also in Charleston. Dr. Gordon is board-certified in both radiology and nuclear medicine. Before joining Quantum Radiology, P.C in July 2000, Dr. Gordon was Chief of Nuclear Medicine at the VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Gordon has authored over forty scientific papers and presentations. Dr. Gordon is currently the head of Nuclear Medicine for Quantum Radiology, P.C. and has spearheaded the American College of Radiology Accreditation for CT/PET at the WellStar Kennestone Cancer Center. Dr. Gordon oversees, and has also ensured American College of Radiology Accreditation for the Nuclear Medicine facilities of WellStar Kennestone, Cobb, and Paulding Hospitals. Dr. Gordon is a member of the WellStar Radiation Safety Committee as well as the WellStar Cancer Committee and is an expert on CT/PET. He is an authorized user for treatment of thyroid cancer and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma as well as benign diseases such as hyper-thyroidism.
