Dr. Greg Smith is a board-certified radiologist with an interest in Interventional Radiology. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a major in chemistry. He received his Medical Doctor degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Medicine in 1983. He is fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology. His area of particular expertise is in radiofrequency ablation of tumors and uterine fibroid embolizations. In addition to Interventional Radiology, he is actively involved in outpatient imaging and is medical director for Medica Forsyth Imaging Center in Cumming, GA. Dr. Smith is an active member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America and Society of Interventional Radiology. His areas of research interest are in Radiofrequency Ablation of tumors. Dr. Smith is involved in the leadership of Quantum Radiology, P.C. and was previously Chief of Staff at WellStar Cobb Hospital as well as serving as Radiology Department Chairman of WellStar Cobb Hospital for over eight years. He has been with Quantum Radiology, P.C. since 1993. His personal interests include church activities and outdoor sports.
